Angelo Roncalli

Pope John XXIIIAngelo Giuseppe Roncalli, Pope John XXIII (1881-1963)

After Sauniere’s death, a certain Angelo Roncalli was placed in charge of a dossier that involved Rennes-le-Château and the enigmatic Abbé by the Vatican. All this long before the story attained any notoriety or publicity.

According to author Pierre Carpi, during a nunciature in Turkey in 1935, Roncalli admitted into the sect of the Temple receiving the name Brother John.,  It was in this period that he wrote a series of prophecies. There is no doubt about their authenticity. Click here to read these rare prophecies (in Italian).,

In June 1960 when Angelo had climbed up the stairs of the Vatican high enough to become Pope John XXIII, he issued a profoundly important apostolic letter: ON PROMOTING DEVOTION TO THE MOST PRECIOUS BLOOD OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST. This letter emphasized Jesus’ suffering as a human being and maintained that the redemption of mankind had been effected by the shedding of his blood. In the context of Pope John’s letter, Jesus’ human Passion and the shedding of his blood assume a greater consequence than the Resurrection or even than the mechanics of the Crucifixion. If man’s redemption was achieved by the shedding of Jesus’ blood, his death and resurrection become incidental, if not, indeed, superfluous. Through his letter Pope John XXIII implies that the death of Jesus on the cross is no longer a requisite tenet of the Roman Catholic faith. Jesus need not have died on the cross for the Catholic faith to retain its validity.

Long-standing suspicions regarding John XXIII’s links to Masonry were further aroused in 1977, fourteen years after his death. Of particular interest was an advertisement published in the USA, Boston Pilot Magazine, which was offering for sale replicas of John XXIII’s pectoral cross. The cross was decorated with several Masonic symbols and had been authorised for sale by Archbishop Capovilla of Loreto, Italy, with the backing of the Vatican.

Allegedly the last words of Saunière were ‘Jean Vingt-Trois‘. At a recent exhuming of the body of John XXIII relating to the advancement of his cause for beatification, the group of witnesses present were shocked to find that the body in the coffin was facing downward.
