In 1991, Henry Lincoln published his book the Holy Place. Many years of deeper and deeper research had led him to believe that almost everyhting that was presented by anyone as evidence in the Mystery of Rennes-le-Château, was either impossible to prove or part of machinations by groups with specific agendas like Pierre Plantard who wanted to suggest he was a descendent of the Merovingian Bloodline. Tired of documentary and historical research, Lincoln turned to the landscape and noticed that there exists a giant pentagonal geometry in the landscape surrounding the village of Rennes-le-Château. This is described in more detailed in the article on Sacred Geometry.
The heart of this pentacle is formed by what Henri Boudet describes on his map as Laval-Dieu or La Val Dieu, the valley of God.
